The Minneapolis Urban Robotics Alliance (MURA), founded in 2015, is a collaborative robotics hub for urban teams within the Minneapolis metro area that has more than 15 competing members.
As an alliance, we’ve come together to achieve the following goals:
- To promote the sustainability of urban teams.
- To recruit new students to get involved in FIRST.
- To build strength and competitiveness of urban teams.
- To increase public awareness of urban robotics and FIRST.
- To increase diversity and inclusion in FIRST.
- To build a FIRST pathway for K-12 students in Minneapolis.
We also operate a full-sized FIRST practice facility within north Minneapolis known as MURA Field. The building contains a full-sized FRC practice field, an FTC practice field, a shop and classrooms with projectors. MURA Field is open to teams from all across the state.
