FIRST Team 2500 Herobotics

We're a sustainable, urban FRC team from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis, MN, that seeks to promote urban engagement, inclusion, and diversity in STEM. We've advanced to the FIRST Championship nine times over the past thirteen years through dedicated work to inspire youth with the message that everyone can succeed in science and technology.

Herobotics

Our Mission

Tenacity & innovation are FIRST Team 2500 Herobotics’ greatest values. We Keep Moving Forward through adversity, challenges, & setbacks, developing innovative solutions that advance our mission. By fostering strong connections & partnerships, we strive to change the face of Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) & give underrepresented, urban youth the tools to succeed.

To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes.”
– Dean Kamen

Diversity

We believe that anyone, regardless of who they are, can participate in FIRST. Building upon our own diverse team culture, we promote diversity initiatives through workshops at off-season events, regionals, and beyond.

Sustainability

A constant struggle urban teams face is sustainability. By developing connections between urban teams both locally and nationally, we’ve worked to keep not only our team, but other urban FIRST teams sustainable.

Outreach

Outreach is our passion. Through more than 8,000 hours of community outreach at 160 STEM & non-STEM events within the last five years, we’ve spread the benefits of FIRST to more than 100,000 people.
